Wondered if there was a mass way to edit all recipes at once? We are switching from one kettle finings supplier to another and I’d love to just replace all instances of the former kettle finings with the new ones including a quantity multiplier to adjust the dose rate to the new product.
We have an awful lot of recipes and all require the exact same change so would be great to hear this exists before I start editing them one by one!
Hi Jono, Thanks for reaching out! There currently isn’t a way to bulk edit recipes, and if the dosing rate needs adjusting, then this will need to be changed manually on each recipe. However, I just wanted to check; is this a new stock item or just a new supplier? If this is just a new supplier for a stock item called ‘Kettle finings,’ then you won’t need to create a new stock item to apply to the recipe; you could instead head to the current stock item and select the Suppliers tab and then select Add supplier item details. This will mean that you can start purchasing the stock item from the new supplier; the dosing rate, as mentioned previously, would still need updating. If you would like the ability to bulk update recipe additions in Breww, it would be great if you could raise this as a feature request. Cheers!
Hey Ben, thanks for getting back to me. Unfortunately it’s a new stock item with a new dose rate rather than just a new supplier. No worries though, thanks for letting me know. That’ll be a job for Friday afternoon with a beer.
Could you use the substitution feature here to get you going until you’re able to change them all?
