Hi all wondering if there’s a feature I can’t find that allows stock items to be written off, say if ingredients are out of date.
Realise desired result can be achieved by editing stock and then maybe putting “wastage” as term in the log, but without fixed data field would make it harder to track and analyse the data.

Hi Tom, Thanks for your comment! The way to handle this would be, as you have suggested, by heading to the stock item and then selecting the edit pencil on the stock line to edit the quantity and details, with a ‘Reason’ given for the change in stock. This reason can then be searched in the stock item log to narrow down these changes. However, it sounds like you are looking for improvements to reportability and analysis of stock changes with fixed fields; if so, then it would be great if you could raise this as a feature request. It also sounds like the Report on stock level adjustments/changes (exportable stock item/product logs) feature request could be close to what you need here; if you would find this helpful, it would be great if you could add your vote to this.
