Enhance Breww’s task management system to support equipment-linked tasks, improved mobile readability, and task prioritization/grouping—aligned with daily brewery operations.
Solution:
Suggestions to implement the following improvements to the task module:
- Task Linking to Equipment/Batches: Enable tasks to be assigned to specific fermenters, vessels, or other equipment (similar to how batches are linked).
- Priority & Grouping System: Add customizable priority levels and grouping tags. Support our system that uses coded categories for Production & Maintenance (e.g.,
1. **Daily**,2. **Brew**,3. **Packaging**,6. **Cleaning**, etc.). - Sortable Columns & Custom Views: Allow sorting/filtering in the task dashboard by: priority, group, assignee, status, date, etc.
- Improved Mobile UX: Optimize layout and text wrapping for smaller screens to make daily task navigation fast and clear on mobile.
- Custom Task Display Format: Use the following display fields:

Implementation:
- Extend the task data model to include:
priority_level,grouping_tag, andlinked_equipment_id
Benefits:
- Makes Breww a central task hub—reducing the need for external tools like Notion, Slack Trello or similar (planning) tools
- Ensures daily operational clarity for all team members, especially in fast-paced production and maintenance environments
- Improves accountability by tying tasks directly to equipment/batches
- Enables prioritization and structured planning, especially important in small teams with many roles
- Ensures mobile usability for operators and technicians who work away from desks

- Reduces “app switching” by giving enough context within Breww itself
