Hi there, this customer has an invoice that has been paid via Xero that is not updated in Breww, can you let us know why? Please reply to Catherine Leeson cleeson@hwca.com It was £5,997.60 in December 2022.
Hi Jayne - thanks for the message! Without access to your account, it’s tricky to say why this might be. If Breww uploaded the invoice, it’s now been paid in Xero, and “Sync payments” is enabled in your accountancy integration settings, the payment should have been downloaded. Is it possible the invoice Breww uploaded was deleted in Xero and recreated manually? As that would mean the payment is not associated with the invoice that Breww created, and therefore it wouldn’t be downloaded.
If you can raise a support ticket and grant the team access, we can get to the bottom of this for you!
Hi Max,
The invoice came from Quickbooks to Xero via Movemybooks as did a number of others and we followed the steps to ensure correctly set up Breww with Xero. You mention you dont have access, if I added you to Xero could you check?
Ah, that makes sense! If it is an invoice Breww uploaded to Quickbooks before the switch to Xero, I’m afraid Breww won’t be able to download the payment for it from Xero. However, you can safely add the payment to the invoice in Breww manually without the payment being duplicated in Xero because the invoice in Breww isn’t mapped to that invoice in Xero. Breww also checks if adding a payment to a Xero invoice will make the invoice overpaid, and if it would, it checks the existing payments on the invoice to see whether any are an exact match. If they are, Breww will map the payments together rather than duplicate them.
Access to your account in Breww should always be all we need to get to the bottom of something - so we won’t ever need access to your Xero account, just your Breww account through a support ticket.
