Assign stock from multiple Sites

Is it possible to make it possible to close out invoices with multiple site locations? We have a brewery as our Main site, and then other sites (warehouses) that our team is going to to grab certain items. Would be nice if you could just pull inventory manually/automatically with the option to choose from what site(s) you want to pull from.

Hi Brad,

Thanks for raising this in the community! I have moved this over to a feature request for you so it can be reviewed by the right team and hopefully gather votes.

Please add your vote by clicking the vote button near the request title at the top of the page. This helps move feature requests up the list.

Cheers!

Thanks for the suggestion, Brad. Why don’t you just use one “Site” with multiple “Locations”? (See Breww glossary - a guide to key terms in Breww for the difference.) Or transfer the stock between the sites when the person gets the items?

The intention of Sites is that they are geographically separated, and so you cannot simply take items from multiple Sites. If you have multiple warehouses that are next to each others, and as such stock can be readily moved between them, I’d suggest treating these as separate Locations within a single Site.

Would this work for you?

It would work, but it seems like double work, when I have an account that has items from both our brewery as well as our warehouse, so I would have to go in, move the stock from one of the locations to the other location, edit the invoice to the correct location, and then close out the invoice. If there was a way to make invoices possible to pull inventory from multiple locations, that would be very helpful

Thanks Brad, but the main purpose of having multiples Sites in Breww is that you cannot get stock from more than one for a single order. You can do exactly what you’re asking for by using two Locations at a single Site.

Can you explain why using separate locations at a single site isn’t right for you here; so I can better understand the problem?

There’s a conversation happening here, and the same conversation is trying to be had via a support ticket. I think this is causing confusion, so I’m closing this thread to keep all the conversation in one place (the support ticket). I also don’t think this feature request is required, as I think the answer is simply to use Locations instead of Sites.

If it does turn out that you need a new feature after all, I’ll reopen this community thread then.
