Hi,
We have some 3pl partners that invoice customers and take a percentage of sales. We would like to have invoices in BREWW that reflect what the customer ordered and include the fee charged by the 3pl partner so that we can track product sales, customer purchases, and have a rough forecast of finances with the 3pl partners. Is it possible to add something like a service fee (for example, 3%) to invoices?
Thanks,
Nick
Hi Nick, Thanks for raising this in the community! If this is a fee that is charged to you as a business but not inherited by the customer, I think that this feature request would be the feature you need here: Tracking shipping/delivery costs/charges paid for by us . This would allow you to account for the goods’ sales at the correct value but then have the charge/fee deducted from your sale revenue. Let me know if I have misunderstood your question or if this is what you are looking for! Cheers, Ben.
Hi Ben, thanks for the reply. I followed the link, but it doesn’t look like anything was actioned by BREWW on the original post’s request. (though I might’ve missed something) Is it just saying to create a delivery charge structure? There’s a couple of problems with that for our specific purpose.
- The 3pl service fee is a % of the total sale, not a set amount based on product number, sale total, or weight.
- The charge needs to be applied only to sales within a specific customer group (not a customer type)
If I’m missing something, please let me know!
Hi Nick, thanks for your reply! This feature request is titled with a few different aims; the comments on the feature request may also not be as targeted to your aims/use case. However, part of this feature request would be to track/add charges/fees paid for by you to orders. Whilst your particular use case hasn’t been brought up in the comments section, it does sound like this feature request would achieve it, and it might be that some more specific rules are needed to get it to work in the way you’d like. I’d suggest adding your own comments to this feature request on how you would like this to work for you; it would also be great if you could vote on this to bump it up the list! If you feel this feature request doesn’t achieve what you need, then it would be great if you could raise this as a new feature request, so that the team can review this for you! Cheers, Ben!
