Add last order date to customer sales report

I have discovered how to do total sales by customer. The pre-built sales report ‘Total Sales by Customer’ is useful but last order date would be a great addition to identify customers that have dropped off. Can this be added or found somewhere else on Breww?

Many Thanks,

Hi Gary, Thanks for your comment and welcome to the community! You will be able to run a report on your customers that includes the last order date by heading to Reporting → Customers & suppliers. You will then be able to add the Field to view of Last Order Date and enter the below into the BrewwQL filter:

entity_type = “Customer”

If you run this report, it will display your customers with the last order date included. You could also choose to filter by the last order date to narrow down your results; for example, if you wanted to see customers who haven’t placed orders for over 6 months, you could use the below:

entity_type = “Customer” and last_order_date < “6 months ago”

I hope this helps, and let me know if you need anything else. Cheers!

Thanks Ben,
I have followed these steps and successfully added the last order date. However, within this report, I cannot find how to add in total sales value to date? I can add in average order value but not total sales. Help!!. And I am not sure how to add date range i.e. 1st Jan 2024 to 31st May 2025.

Hi Gary, Thanks for your reply. Currently, it isn’t possible to have the ‘last order date’ and ‘total sales value’ displayed in the same report; it would be great if you could raise a feature request to add the ‘Last Order Date’ to the Total sales by customer report, to ensure that this suggestion lands with the right team. If you are new to feature requests in Breww, then the following guide should help with this: Posting ideas & feature requests for Breww. You will be able to look at a date range by filtering by the ‘last_order_date’ and adding your date range using ‘greater than’ and ‘less than’ symbols (operators); it sounds like the following will do what you need:

last_order_date >= “01/01/2024” and last_order_date < “01/06/2025”

Let me know if you need anything else. Cheers!
