I have been working with Sellar regarding the dispatch and delivery notifications from UPS - Sellar - Breww and back etc.
To prevent confusing notifications to the customer we have had to change one of the settings so that Breww did not complete the delivery at the same time Sellar notified that the order was dispatched.
We now have the issue that orders are not being completed in Breww when Sellar is being updated by UPS that the delivery is completed and I am having to manually complete every order.
The below is the suggestion I have received from Sellar.
When orders are marked as delivered in Sellar, we’ll already be notifying Breww of this order status change. It’ll be down to Breww to decide how they handle that notification via their integration with Sellar. Perhaps suggest to Breww an update to the options for the setting where you only have the one option to complete the delivery at the same time as dispatch.
It seems reasonable to expect a two-way communication between Sellar and Breww given that order statuses have a fairly clear mapping:
- Sellar dispatched = Breww dispatched
- Sellar delivered = Breww completed
If we could have a two step approach to dispatch & completion status changes/notifications so that the system was full automated that would be ideal.
