In absence of that, could we get a way to manage the explicit prices for products in a price book via the API or a CSV import? At least then we’d have the correct prices.
At the moment we use a private alert note to capture the pricing but it’s easily forgotten & error prone.
Would be nice. Incidentally, over on that other thread the suggestion was made that you could do this via rules & tags. You could maybe fudge a fixed price by having a zero price “parent” price book and then (deriving from that) negative “Simple” discounts (per abv band tag). Would that work? Haven’t tried.
I must admit that we would probably rather build the spreadsheet import or even an ABV-based price book before allowing this via the API, so it might be best to focus the votes on those threads. Those features are usable by all customers, whereas the API is only suitable for a very small number of customers who are able to write code.
If you’d like an API update endpoint for price books, we can, by all means, have this on the backlog; if you’d like that, please can you open a thread specificly for that. I feel this one has quite a bit of confusion over what exactly it’s asking for, such that others might not be quite sure what they are voting for. Cheers
