Breww can check that a customer has an email address for invoices before an order goes ahead, so automatic invoice emails always have somewhere to go. Instead of finding out an invoice couldn’t be sent after the order has been delivered, you can catch a missing address while the order is being placed.
Choose how strict Breww should be:
- Allow orders for customers with no invoice email address - Breww doesn’t check.
- Allow draft orders, but block confirming - draft orders can be created as normal, but can’t be confirmed or invoiced until the customer has an invoice email address.
- Block creating orders at all - no new order can be created for the customer, whether from scratch, by copying or by duplicating an order.
An email address counts if it’s tagged Receives invoice emails on the customer, one of its contacts or its parent company, and the customer’s own primary email address counts too. Only customers Breww would automatically email an invoice to are checked, and free sample and stock transfer orders are never blocked.
You’ll find the setting in Settings → Sales, orders & invoices → Order & invoice settings, under What should Breww do with orders for customers with no invoice email address?
