It would be helpful if Breww flagged invoices that weren’t emailed because there is no email address saved for the customer. At the moment, this can easily go unnoticed until the customer says they never received their invoice or we notice missing payment.
Could this show as a red notification beside Sales, similar to the example attached? Clicking it could bring up a list of the affected invoices, with the option to add an email address and send the invoice.
What is your thoughts on that as an alternative? In some ways, that’s easier as we simply prevent creating the order rather than find a way to retrospectively bring your attention to a problem. Would that also be a workable solution for you?
Appreciate the reply and I misread Hans’s suggestion, I thought it was more focused towards the email tag.
Our problem is similar/identical though, Breww gives the notification it’s invoiced, while in fact it isn’t.
Needing an email address to create a customer makes a lot of sense, you can’t add one if you don’t have that piece of information. But it’s also limiting.
Perhaps a good middle ground would be, that you can make draft invoices for a customer without an email, but you can’t confirm the order without an email address. This way it’ll flag/trigger internally to fix this issue prior to product leaving the building without an invoice attached.
Yes, that could work. This could also be a setting, so breweries can opt out of this check if they don’t want it (but it should probably be enabled by default).
