Container deposit schemes now have a “Count deposit charges as revenue” option, so refundable deposits no longer inflate your sales and margin reports. Deposits are still charged to your customers exactly as before - nothing changes on their invoices or in your accounting. If you switch the option, you can bring your existing orders in line too. I am a bit confused at the moment if deposit are or are not counted in the sales reports under the following terms:
In the pivot analysis: Total price sum
In the total sales reports: Total order value
It might be an idea to use similar terms across reports differentiating clearly between total paid and actual revenue
