This might be a too complex one, but I think it would be great to have deposits added after the sales value in the orders - just like VAT, as it has a similar non-revenue function (and also does not have VAT attached to it)
I did manage to do this on invoices (per a customers request) but actually would like it as wekk to clean up my numbers and get them more in line with my accountancy numbers

Same thing required us here in Ireland with new deposit scheme, would be ideal for these not to be counted in revenue and for zero VAT. We are not allowed to charge VAT on the deposits.
EDIT: @gijs-van-wiechen If you select no VAT in the container it shouldn’t include it on the invoice. Just tried it there myself and seems to be working.
My other post got regarding this got closed so i’ll repeat my post here as this post IMO does not communicate the severity of the issue with including deposits as revenuie.
this is quite a serious thing tbh.
90% our products have deposits charges (keg/can). The total revenue reporting does not filter these out, which increasingly is influencing the numbers in our reporting, making them untrustworthy and not matching with our accouncy software.
Example:
Customer A buys 4 kegs of beer X: 400 euro in beer and 120 euros in deposits
Customer B buys 10 cases of beer X: 400 euro in beer with 36 euros in deposits.
Both generate 50% of actual revenue.Breww will say Customer B has a revenue of 436 which is 45% of the total revenue and Customer A has 520 euro of revenue equaling 55% of the total revenue. This creates a very skewed image of our sales and customers.
Deposits should be treated a bit like VAT - it is money that is not earned and in the case of some deposits actually needs to be paid to a third party.
Please find a way to remove the deposits from the revenue!
