Hi,
this is quite a serious thing tbh.
90% our products have deposits charges (keg/can). The reporting does not filter these out, which increasingly is influencing the numbers in our reporting, making them untrustworthy and not matching with our accouncy software.
Example:
Customer A buys 4 kegs of beer X: 400 euro in beer and 120 euros in deposits
Customer B buys 10 cases of beer X: 400 euro in beer with 36 euros in deposits.
Both generate 50% of actual revenue.
Breww will say Customer B has a revenue of 436 which is 45% of the total revenue and Customer A has 520 euro of revenue equaling 55% of the total revenue. This creates a very skewed image of our sales and customers.
Deposits should be treated a bit like VAT - it is money that is not earned and in the case of some deposits actually needs to be paid to a third party.
Please find a way to remove the deposits from the revenue!
