Ability edit planned & actual volumes. If batch complete & reducing volume, also reduce another action's wastage to account for it

We would like to see the ability to adjust actual volumes once all racking complete.
We wanted to adjust the planned volume amount and the actual volume amount recorded on the production turn. As some items have been despatched before completion we can’t reverse the racking’s to make that adjustment

Essentially, we’re trying to avoid recording a large amount of waste for the batch, just put in the correct amounts of planned and actual vol

So, we plan a volume (the recipe has an Expected wastage) and then get an actual volume (into FV). And then go on to package a certain volume. But you want to go back and change the planned and actual so as to reduce the amount of waste recorded?

I can’t see the advantage in this. You’ll artificially inflate your packaging yield / reduce your recorded waste (and these are useful measures of the process, as is planned-actual). The waste (and loss) is a real thing, why would you want to discount it?

Is it that there’s been an error entering planned or actual that you need to correct?
Or some losses not recorded that should have been?

Lee, I’m thinking on the same lines as Jon. Could you please give us some more insight into why you need to do this, to help us ensure we build the right solution?

Morning Luke,

Please take a look at ticket no. #BTK-39158

Hopefully it will make sense

Thanks, yes it does. Essentially, a mistake was made with the volumes typed in originally. However, by the time it was noticed, stock had been racked & delivered, and it wasn’t possible to undo actions to fix the mistake.

I think the request is really to be able to edit (correct) the New batch and Transfer from brewing system to vessel volumes without having to undo earlier actions. I feel that the title of this thread is a little confusing, so I’ll adjust it.

Also, please don’t forget to vote for your own request - every vote counts.

Ah right. I wondered. Easily done. I wonder if a sanity check on these volumes would be a useful feature? The recipe has a “Batch size”, so if the batch “Planned vol.” is wildly different from this (when the batch is started / scheduled), or if “Batch total” goes over “Planned vol.” (?) an alert should be raised?
