I am a bit confused. I could have sworn when I have a product on hold with an automatic release date that would show up in the trade store the same way as a planned packaging would. but it doesn’t - what am I doing wrong?

This was nothing you were doing wrong. The date would show for planned packagings but not for the delayed releases. We have changed this so it’ll now show for both.
