When I import the Connect-Delivered weekly sales into Breww, Breww will set the order and invoice date to the date I enter in the importer, however, it sets the DELIVERY date as the date you upload it. This is incorrect. The delivery date should also be the same as the order/invoice date. This is important to have a CORRECT view of inventory numbers as of certain dates (i.e Year End/Month End). My year end inventory numbers are incorrect b/c I imported 2x weekly sales from DECEMBER in early Jan, so the inventory is now removed in Jan, not Dec, when it actually was.
Generally speaking, most of us aren’t able to do every single breww activity in real time/as it happens. I’d love Breww to accommodate that fact so that we can use it properly.
What you’re asking for is actually the case already by default, so I’m assuming you have enabled the Automatically update the scheduled date of a delivery/collection if it is dispatched early or late option in Delivery settings, as this setting would mean that the date scheduled is being adjusted to the completion date.
We’ve made a small change now, to ignore this setting on Connect-Delivered orders and keep them set to the date you choose on the import form. This should mean you can keep this setting enabled for your self-fulfilled orders without it impacting the Connect orders.
Thanks Luke - I can’t correct old ones though can I?? This issue was raised b/c I imported the DECEMBER connect orders in January, which has messed up our YE inventory.
This also will not back-date inventory level changes, just the date that the delivery shows as completed on. Even with this change in place, all stock movements will occur on the date that the order file was actually imported.
