We order certain merchandise by a quantity that we specify. In other words, there is not a “package size/quantity” to input when adding a new product. How do we go about adding these items?
I guess there’s a minimum quantity you’d order? Like 1kg or 1 unit? Or whatever?
Hi Abbey, Thanks for your comment and welcome to the community! This field allows you to define the pack size you usually receive from the supplier. For example, you may have ‘Roasted Barley’ as a stock item, with a stock tracking unit of Weight in Kilograms. If your supplier delivers this in 25kg bags, then the package size/qunaitity could be entered as ‘25’. This means if you buy ‘1’ of the pack size supplied by this supplier, Breww would know that this represents 25kg. If you do not order a specific pack size, then you could enter this figure as the smallest amount you would order; for example, you could simply enter ‘1’ in this field. This would mean that ‘1’ of the supplier pack size equals 1kg. Let me know if you need anything else.
