So I have just set up my trade store and on the whole it is really great. however there are a few things that need some attention to reduce friction and improve the overall customer buying experience.
This is direct feedback from one of my customers.
The view basket button - this should be positioned at the top right beside the account button in line with all major ecommerce store layouts to avoid confusion.
Navigation - the nav is very clunky, if you go into a product there is no back button or related products “you may also like” collections. This means the customer has to press the “Products” button which takes them to the “browse our products” page then select “all products” again. Perhaps a breadcrumb menu or a bult select table would be an improvement.
and Finally,
Custom CSS - I know this is a much bigger ask but having the ability to customise the CSS would be huge. it would enable us to bring the trade store in line with our own brand image.
it was great to get the direct buying feedback from a customer perspective as these are things I had not considered.
Can you please open a new thread for the CSS customisation and one for the “you may also like” idea? We cannot process multiple requests in a single thread. Please see I’ve got lots of ideas. Shall I post one big request? for why. Thank you.
