Report to help with Extended Producer Responsibility (packaging types, materials, weights, etc)

Are there currently any plans to include specific reports to help with reporting under the new EPR scheme? The first declarations are due in the new year.

I appreciate this won’t affect all small breweries, but there will be a fair few who are. We are about to start seeing if we can easily extract all the data we need - and I don’t want to spend time producing a huge amount of custom reports if there is something already in the pipeline that will do it for us!

Many thanks

Ben

There are no plans currently for any new reports for this specifically, but if you’ve some suggestions that would make life easier, we’d be happy to look at them (especially if the data isn’t available via the Raw Data Explorer tools).

If the data can be extracted using the Raw Data Explorer and you make any reports with this that you think would be helpful for others, you can share them with anyone (even those at other breweries) by using Share codes.

Share codes, share the “config” for a report (i.e. the BrewwQL filter and the columns) without sharing any of the actual data, so they might work really well here if the community can work together and share reports with each other where custom-built reports are not needed. I hope that makes sense!

Cheers

Hi Luke,

This would be most beneficial for a dedicated report since the government just expanded the scope to include smaller producers like ourselves. I have added a link to the governments page on what the csv needs to contain Packaging Data File Specification. Perhaps when assembling pallets it could have an area to disclose 1 pallet being used and the amount of plastic film used for wrapping? Organisation ID, Subsidiary ID & Organisation Size could be fields that are added to the business settings page and are only changeable by admins?

Many thanks,
Scott

I wanted to bring this feature request back to the top, having specific ERP reporting in Breww would really help us. Breww already holds all the key data we need, but without proper ERP reporting tools, we still have to take the data out of the system to create the reports we need.

I also want to highlight the need for adding these requested details to stock items. The raw stock items are what we have to record and in some cases report (for Large producers to be correctly charged by the government), as well as knowing our annual packaging consumption by weight.

EPR is now impacting businesses as much as the changes to Excise (APPA) did at the beginning of 2025. Having simple reporting from Breww will massively reduce our manual inputting, saving on time and allowing more focus to be on producing and being in line with compliancy.

Requirements:

  • Add packaging types, materials, weights to raw stock items

  • Need to track and report the weight of individual packaging components (e.g., cans, bottles, labels, cardboard, etc.)

  • Weights need to be tracked per unit

  • Need to track all types of packaging materials

  • Deadline: 1st February 2026

Hi Luke, just chasing an update on my comment from 21 days ago regarding this feature request.

As a business we have this week been moved into the Large Producer bracket, so this feature request is quite important to have implemented.

Hi Casey, sorry for not getting back to you sooner. We’ve had a very busy Christmas period, with many team members taking holidays.

We’re aware of this report request, as several people have brought it up recently, so it’s very much on our radar. We intend to develop additional reporting in Breww, specifically aimed at helping with this soon.

Hi Luke,

Do we have any updates on this?

Hi Charlotte, we started work on the project a few weeks ago. I hope it will be over the line soon, but we don’t share specific dates/timelines, sorry.

Good news, the dedicated EPR report is now live :tada:

Please see the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) report help guide for more info on how to use it. We hope this helps, and as always, please let us know any feedback!

Just in time!

Only suggestion would be that you can associate a weight with a subtype immediately.

I just copy pasted my way through a lot of label stock items
