We issue deposit invoices for our contract brewing customers which are usually due within 7 days, rather than the default credit days applied to the customer’s account. It would be useful if we could set an override credit term on individual products that would automatically set an order to the correct credit terms, based on the products ordered.
I can see where you’re coming from, but what would happen if you had multiple products on the order with credit terms that differed from each other (and the customer)? For example:
Customer: Invoice date plus 10 days
Product A: Invoice date plus 20 days
Product B: Invoice date plus 30 days
Product C: No specific terms set
In this case, I don’t know what the correct credit terms to apply to the order would be.
While I appreciate your specific use case, I must admit that I think this feature would cause quite a bit of confusion and potential mistakes, so I’m unsure that it’s a good addition to Breww.
