Currently, when we move a keg or flat from one site to another, Breww requires that we know where that keg or flat is in Breww before scanning it. If we scan the item and designate the wrong “Source Location”, upon scanning the bar code we get a simple message stating that the item is not in that location. We then have to go to containers tab, look up the keg number, figure out where Breww thinks the item is, and then go back to the “Move Stock” tab so we can then enter the correct source location.
My proposal is that Breww app would be a little smarter about this. Instead of just giving the error that the item is not in the proper source location, the app could ask the user if they would still like to move the item regardless (i.e. instead of moving it from the designated source location, the item would be moved from the location that Breww thinks it’s in).
We have a lot of kegs and use the move app a lot. This simple improvement would save us lots of time.
This has been a constant source of frustration for us, and probably for many other users ever since the Breww team figured this was a better idea.

If I am scanning a keg that means I have eyes on it and am touching it physically.
What does it matter where the source of the keg was? The point is that it needs to be where it is currently. What DOES matter is whether the keg is full or empty.
Please make a better system.
Suggestion: Kegshoe, one of the keg tracking apps on the market has a feature called “return empty” and “return untapped”. Really, that’s all that’s important. If the source is a licensee, then the keg can be returned for a future refund or credit. If the keg is from another warehouse location it can be treated as a simple stock transfer.
