This might not be something that can be made overnight but a really useful feature for us would be something of a live stock board, something we can display using a projector.
At the moment we rely on counting physical stock and updating white board by hand on a weekly basis. This is great to quickly have a look at what we have but more often than not its instantly out of date and doesn’t take into account what we’ve got on order/pre order etc.
Things I would use it for:
- Change the colours of things that get too low in stock
- Alerts for things that go out of stock
- Expected run rates next to each product
- Grouping different beer styles
- Expected out of stock dates
- Best before dates, batch numbers
No sugar coating it. The more I think about this the more it sounds like a big task but I think this could be a great feature for everyone really.
