Would it be possible to add a filter for “Qty in Stock” to the Stock Items Page (and the associated Breww QL) please?
I’ve seen a few requests, but not one explicity for this (closest being this), apologies if I have missed a duplicate feature request.
This would be incredibly handy for finding information quickly for us. As an example our hops list contains 106 items - being able to save a list such as:
obsolete = False and sub_type.name = "Hop"
with sorting direction:Descending
Would essentially give us a list of hops currently in stock. Its not perfect, but it is faster than exporting data, or scrolling & trawling through multiple pages.
We already use this functionality of BrewwQL on the Products page in conjunction with Tags to create some super helpful dynamic lists for styles of beer currently in stock, so I think there is an easy win here for workflow improvement if it is possible.
This is actually more complex than it seems on the surface as we don’t “store” anywhere how much is available in stock (this is calculated on the fly each time you see a quantity in stock), and BrewwQL filters can only be built on “stored data”.
Of course, it would be possible to solve this, and I can see the benefits, but I just wanted to let you know that it’s not quite such a quick win as it might look like at first!
@luke I’ve just looked/tested this & it does what I need it to do.
I can save a sorted list with a BrewwQL query, effectively allowing me to query things such as ‘show me T90 hops in stock’, so it speeds up a few regular searches considerably.
I would caveat for anyone who might use similar query, we have multiple sites, and this only works effectively as all of my brewing ingredients are in one site. We can’t use this for querying stock at specific sites such as ‘show me X at the taproom’ but you can use the quick view for a breakdown.
That’s great; thanks for confirming. Actual BrewwQL filtering would be helpful anyway, I’m sure, so I’ll leave this open for the future, but it’s good to know it’s not as urgent now there’s a decent alternative
