The report for the stock availability forecast should have a more refined look back period. Right now you can only look back at a specific amount of weeks to build your forecasting report. There should be a time stamp feature as well. For example you could create this report on monday morning at 9am and then look back 4 weeks (9am monday week 1 through 9am on Monday week 4). This allows for a static function to build production schedules upon. This way I can build a months worth of production based on a specific time period instead of a constantly updating forecast. This way if me (production manager) can look at forecasts and then present it to the operations team to make sure that it is all working out OK. I can export into excel but If I want to run reports for several look back periods (this is a lot of extra work for multliple reports) but they are constantly changing because we constantly have orders coming through the Trade Store. Please Vote for this it is making production planning incredibly difficult.
@landon-swanson you’ve hopefully seen the new forecasting tools in Breww. I appreciate that they work a little differently from what you’ve suggested above, but does the new tooling cover what you need here? If not, can you let us know what you’re looking for in more detail?

Is there a way to forecast only liquid? I am wondering if for production we could have the ability to forecast based on total liquid volume to be packaged? It would make it so much easier to plan a brewing calendar of our core offerings. If I knew I needed X amount of a specific beer’s volume needed I could plan the calendar and then when packaging gets closer I could use the current forecast to create my Product mix.
Not currently, and I don’t think that we would consider moving away from the forecast itself being in liquid rather than products. However, forecasting product sales and then translating that into liquid volumes would be possible (as, of course, Breww already knows this relationship).
Maybe Automatically suggest/plan what to brew, what to package and when to do it based on forecasted available stock would be something worth voting for?
