Wastage in recipe

Hi there,

Does the wastage that is entered in the beer recipe is appeared somewhere, or been taken in consideration when racking or calculating production efficiency?
Can I see the amount of beer available for packing after the wastage is deducted from the remaining beer in the tank?

Thanks for your question.

The wastage recorded against a recipe will be used in prospective product cost reporting:

  • Recipe cost report; which can be found by going to a recipe and clicking the “Cost report” button in the top right.
  • Product expected cost breakdown report; which can be found in Reporting → Prebuilt Production & inventory reports.
  • Stock valuation; where you’re reporting on the value of in-progress batches, this value can be taken into account depending on your settings.

On each batch’s page, you can see a breakdown of the amount packaged and the total remaining. This will take into account any wastage entered on the batch.
