Use and tracking of variable quantity ingredients

Anyone have an idea how to incorporate variable usage ingredients into a recipe or a batch?

For example: lactic acid in the mash. We use a variable amount based on recipe and pH readings taken throughout the mash itself. We’d like to record the actual amount used in each batch and each addition (if there is more than one) and have that volume deducted from inventory.

Hi Tait, Thanks for your comment. Currently, any ingredient additions added to a recipe will need a set amount entered on the recipe. However, you can always adjust this on a brew day and add more or less than the recipe calls for. This is discussed in this help guide: Using your electronic brew sheet on a brew day . It also sounds like the Recipe-level variables for Calculated Fields, e.g. allow “Add ingredient” quantity to be the result of a calculation feature request may cover some of what you need here; it would be great if you could add you vote to this. Let me know if you need anything else. Cheers!
