Trade Store - Hide Out of Stock Items

We have quite a few product lines and don’t want to have to keep turning visibility on/off each time we do a batch.

Hi Dan, thanks for raising this on the community. This is not currently possible, but I agree it would be good to have the flexibility to do this. I have converted this into a feature request for you, so our dev team can review this. Remember to add your vote at the top of the page, to help move this up the list.

@connor-fry - this is super urgent. We can select ‘do not show out of stock items’ using the price list feature. Please bump. ta

Thanks for your reply, Dan. I will leave this for our dev team to review. I appreciate this is urgent for you, and I know our dev team will consider this when reviewing your request. This will however still need to be considered in terms of priority depending on the scope of the task, the support for other features, and how critical it is to the overall Breww experience. There are hundreds of requests currently on the community, so we do not “bump” requests in this way, as that would be unfair to the many users raising requests on the community.

I hope this makes sense, and I will leave this for our dev team to review for you. :grin:

Thanks, Dan. As Connor suggested, I’m afraid we’re unable to bump this request to the top of the list. If you haven’t already, please review our guidelines on how we process/prioritise feature requests,.

Prior to Breww, I founded and built a large e-commerce business (processing thousands of orders each day). Based on my experience there, hiding temporarily out-of-stock products is, in fact, unhelpful for your customers and may well lower your conversion rates (contrary to popular belief).

I’ve discussed this in further detail in the past on the Breww Community:

So, whilst I think it’s best for you to decide how you’d like your store to work (not us), we can’t just push this to the top of the list when so many others have been waiting patiently for their requests to make it to the top; I’m sorry. This is also not a particularly short/simple task, although I appreciate it probably looks that way on the surface.

For anyone else who would like this, please vote for this thread. Despite my comments above, we have every intention of building this feature, so please show your support for it with a vote and help it make its way up the priority list :smile:

Sorry gents, maybe the wrong use of language there. Wasn’t suggesting we look to put to the top of the list - but visibility would be appreciated.

@luke - appreciate your insight, however, the product page on the trade store acts like a list of everything and unless i’m wrong, can’t be hidden. Having a myriad of ‘out of stock’ items to sift through just turns me off completely.

The list by beer screen where you can click through into the beer to see whats available is really good. If that beer is totally out of stock, then to have that marked out of stock as a single option with the beer screen would be much better than having 4 formats listed separately as out of stock for the same beer.

Perhaps, putting out of stock items or ‘coming soon’ at the bottom would help?

Just trying to find a different way of getting to the same outcome.
