I’ve been trying to figure out a way to add tiered pricing to supplier stock items - for instance if I buy 1 of then the cost is X, but subsequently buying more, at various thresholds the price reduces.
You can set the initial Supplier Quantity as 1 and the MOQ as 1, then create additional lines, e.g. Supplier Quantity 1/MOQ 3, SQ 1/MOQ 5 and so on.
This works, but there is a visibility issue - when creating the PO you will be shown the stock item multiple times in the dropdown, but there is no indication which item is the correct one based on price (changing the SKU doesn’t help here). The PO will just show you “Stock Item [1]” multiple times until you enter the information, then if you’ve selected the wrong one you need to click back.
Doing this in reverse creates a different problem - e.g. Supplier Quantity 3, MOQ 1 - if the product falls into brackets, e.g. we want 4, and the price changes at 3 & 5, you have to start asking people to do calculate again, which is the original problem we’re trying to mitigate by implementing this solution.
So, working through this as I type, I guess the Request would be solved by exposing the MOQ alongside the Supplier Quantity in the drop down if that is possible please?
Unless I’m missing another way to achevie what I’m trying to do, then any advice is appreciated ![]()
