As well as syncing stock to Shopify can the cost price for a stock item be synced so it is updated into the “Cost Per Item” field in Shopify. This allows a single cost number across Breww and Shopify without having to manually export/import etc
Thanks for the suggestion, Jez. I’m sorry, but I’m not sure that we should do this.
We’re integrated with 13 external sales platforms (and counting) and we like to keep feature parity across these as much as possible. The idea of syncing this information reliably to 13+ external platforms sounds like a recipe for mistakes and incorrect reporting, not to mention a maintenance headache for our dev team.
Keeping this information “in sync” is extremely complex and likely to be error-prone (often for reasons outside of our control), and reporting on this kind of information can already be done within Breww. Why do you need to report on this from within Shopify rather than Breww? Can we solve your needs in another way?
Thanks for reply. You raise a good point.
The request was borne out of wanting to make a bundle of products on shopify that carry a discount vs buying items individually. To set the right retail price we want to know the cost of each item to ensure we still make a margin.
The person who manages our webshop doesn’t use Breww so logically it made sense to handle it in Shopify.
Maybe that can be done in Breww and then we sync the product code(for the bundle) with Shopify to manage stock etc I shall investigate!
Thanks for the explanation, Jez; that makes sense.
I’ve set this thread to automatically close two weeks from now as I don’t think it’s needed, but if your investigation suggests otherwise, please do reply with more information as to why, and we can look for the best solution from there ![]()
Possibly the solution is to grant them access
But I appreciate that’s got other implications, so I’ll leave that up to you.
