We have a large amount of stock items that we all sell as products. Roughly 170. Each of these have their own bin location within our warehouse. When receiving in goods via an inventory receipt the multiple differing stock items on one purchase order are all placed into one location. Also once this occurs there is no quick way to know where the items belong so they the item can be put away where it belongs in the warehouse.
I’ve had to come up with a spreadsheet that will do this for me by creating a default “goods in” location for all stock items to be received into and using a lookup formula to provide the current location of the stock so that the operations team know which bin/location it belongs in. I’m then having to manually move all the items line by line on brew into the locations they belong in.
Is there a possibility to give each stock item its own default location that they would be moved to when they are added to stock? This would also require a “replenishment” list so those working within the warehouse know where to put the stock. A added line to the inventory receipt showing the default location would suffice.
