Rate of Sale report

Continuing the discussion from How quickly batches of beer are selling out:

I made a similar request here: Automatically suggest/plan what to brew, what to package and when to do it based on forecasted available stock - #4 by luke. We have worked with a demand planning and process improvement consultant to do this. We export our sales data every week into a forecasting spreadsheet, then export the currently inventory position of all our products. The spreadsheet then computes a “days on hand” inventory and offers suggested start dates to brew the next batch. We’re now over a 95% fill rate on orders. I’ve asked to see this integrated into Breww but it doesn’t seem to be receiving enough “Up” votes to get any attention. The other thing we added is a capability to determine the correct racking (cases of cans/bottles, sixtels and half-barrels for us) so that we balance our inventory to basically run out all at the same time. it’s taken a lot of the guesswork out of our operation, as our brewer takes the recommendations and stuffs them right back into Breww for the planning cycles. And wherever we have gaps he schedules collabs or one-off special releases, ensuring supply of our core products. We’re currently tracking 15 products this way and it takes less than 30 minutes a week.
