It would be very useful if Breww would automatically combine the fermentation step when doing multi-turn batches.
In this step it should be possible to add an OG for each turn as well as a transfer vol for Breww to output a calculated OG for the total batch (still waiting on this feature for blending batches too), it would also be great to combine dry hop or yeast additions etc into a single step which would be make adding ingredients easier.
I’m sorry, but I don’t quite follow what you’re asking for. You can already create a single fermentation stage when building a recipe (and still have some other stages repeated per turn). Could you please help me to understand better what you’re looking for here? Thanks.
If I set it to not repeat fermentation step in a multi turn will it scale up that step for a double brew?
My thinking with that is that it removes the input of an OG and pH of the individual turns (which I have set up in the fermentaion step as there isn’t a dedicated input) and this in an ideal world linked to the other post about calculating OG on multi batches and blends.
If the non-repeat fermentation step does scale up and would double the dry hop ingredients for example, what I am really after is as suggested in the other post and give a dedicated input for OG and pH which can then be used by Breww to combine them.
This question suggests a misunderstanding of how recipe scaling works, as the number of turns is irrelevant to the total quantity required. Whether a stage is multi-turn or not has no impact on the quantities of ingredients needed.
Adding turns doesn’t “scale up” the quantities required. When building recipes, ingredient quantities should always be entered as the quantity required for the recipe batch size. You should not adjust the ingredient quantity for the number of turns that you expect to do when brewing a batch using the recipe.
