I am trying to make our state excise tax report a little easier. Looking at reports there are several that are close but not quite what we need. We would like to see a report that would show amount of taxable product with a total for a given date. Basically the “Packaged beer current stock” with the date selection of “Inventory (Stock Levels) by date”.

Retrospectively determining historical product stock levels is not as easy as it might seem on the surface (which is why no such report exists currently).
What is the schedule for when you need this data for your state’s excise tax report? You could probably schedule an automatic stock valuation to run at those times, and then you would always be able to check the stock valuation history to see exact stock levels for every product.
I can help you get the settings right to run the stock valuation at the right times for you if you think this would work and need help with getting the schedule right (they can get complex, depending on what is needed).
We try to grab stock level on the last day of the month. It looks like someone else requested a similar feature, the ability to have a quarterly and a monthly excise tax pull.

- Stock valuations should ensure you can get these figures without having to remember to pull them at the time.
- I’m assuming you’re referring to Variable TTB reporting frequency which sounds perfect.
