In the Container Details section Other Information, could we have a tick box that will block any damaged casks from being accidentally used (can be a bit of annoying if there is a pin hole in the cask and have just filled it!) and keep a record of these casks so when a suitable number have been accumulated,we can get our contractor to come and repair them, without the need to do a physical count of the damaged casks in the yard when they ask how many we have.

Yes please, this would be incredibly useful. An alert to the user at least would be helpful. Not just for ‘Out of service (e.g. needs repairing)’ containers but also for those marked as ‘Label damaged’.
