Automatically Generate a Unique Account Numbers (Reference) for Customers

Hi there,

Could Breww automatically create an unique account number every time a new customer is created? A group customer we’re working with is asking for account numbers for each of their venues. Plus I think this would make tracking pubs with the same name, specifically in finance matters, much much easier and would solve duplicate account issues that appear to be happening. I’ve previously used Merlin and they automatically created account numbers for each customer when you created them which made everything a lot simpler and easier.

I suspect Breww does. Not particularly obvious, but I guess “Breww ID” would be the thing? which you can see in the URL for customer pages, or choose to view in the customers report (& other places). Sadly, we can’t search for it, nor can we (I think) show it on invoices, etc

i.e. it’s there, but it’s hard to make use of it

We have a similar situation so when setting the venue up we add their HouseAccount Number after the name - this will appear on invoices and allow you to run search in Breww for that specific number. Might be a workaround for you?

Yes,you could add the Breww ID to the customer name. I’m assuming it’s stable.

Would be helpful to be able to give a customer an account number. Especially when dealing with bigger groups.
