Transferring stock between sites, adds Bottle Bill value despite goods listed at zero price

I have created a Co-Op and we have the need to transfer Stock from one site to another. The stock in this case is Small Packs (cans) and we have a Bottle Bill in Oregon, so every time we sell a can, this ($0.10) is added to each can.

I have created a Customer, (Blossom Barn Cidery) and set them up to be able to accept Transfers, as well as Invoices because they are also Whole sale customers.

The Issue we are having is when we do a Stock Transfer, the stock goes in at Zero $ but the Oregon Bottle Bill is still listed as a line item to be paid?

I have tried checking all the Exempt buttons, but it still applies, is there something else I am missing?

This is a Bond to Bond transfer that we need to do and record.

Hi David, Thanks for your comment! Is the Oregon Bottle Bill set up as a deposit scheme in Breww? If so, and Blossom Barn Cidery should never have the $0.10 deposit added to their orders, here’s how you can set this up:

  1. Go to Customers → Settings & tools → Settings & tags → New tag.

  2. Create a tag called “Oregon Bottle Bill exempt.”

  3. Head to the customer and apply this tag.

  4. Then go to Containers → Actions & tools → Deposit schemes, and edit your existing deposit scheme.

  5. At the bottom of the page, under Rules for when to apply this scheme, create a rule using your new tag of ‘‘Customer tags not in Oregon Bottle Bill exempt”.

This means that any orders, including stock transfers, for customers with the Oregon Bottle Bill exempt tag will not have the $0.10 deposit applied. I hope this helps and let me know if you need anything else. Cheers!

Hi Ben

Thanks, this works well except one thing!

In our Co-Op agreement, each member can

a) Hold in Bond other members stock for Wholesale and (worked perfect for this)

b) Buy stock to resale in their own establishment. (does not apply the Oregon Bottle Bill in this situation).

I have created a Stock Transfer Price Book, at 100% discount, and added this to the Rule when to apply but as mentioned above it did not add the 0.10 to a sale when using the Standard price Book.

Hi David, Thanks for your reply. The team have been able to add a new field to the container deposit rules. You should now see an Order source field. From here, you can select Stock transfers. If your rule is set to “Order source not in Stock transfer order”, then it sounds like that should resolve this for you. Let me know if you need anything else. Cheers!
