Stop mixed packs from being automatically disassembled and included in theoretical maximum stock figures

We’re having an issue (hands up, possibly compounded by our initial stock not being correct and some returns not recorded) where Breww is auto disassembling mixed boxes in the system. This is something we would never do. It also shows for example that there is a theoretical max of 4 bottles of Helles even though we know we’re out of stock because there are some that are in mixed boxes. Is there a way we can tell the system not to look at assembled mix boxes to include in its theoretical max and for auto assigning? We’d probably want to maintain the option to manually disassemble them but to be honest once we’ve gone to the trouble of physically making them up we’re very unlikely to do that.

Hi Helen,

Great question! It isn’t possible presently in Breww to exclude some products from contributing to the theoretical max quantity for assembly, and it hasn’t come up as a request before. Currently, when Breww auto-assembles products, it looks at the availability of component products in mixed-packs, multi-packs, and single-product forms, while considering the assigned quantity. This means Breww pulls component products from any other product containing the same components without any exceptions. Right now, there isn’t a direct way to exclude mixed packs from the theoretical maximum calculation.

However, your idea makes a lot of sense, and it’s something we could certainly consider. I have converted this to a feature request so our development team can review the technical side and explore if it would be possible to add in; plus, other users may have some input on this as a feature which would be great to hear.

This is really important for us, it’s causing quite a bit of pain with customers at the moment as we have a couple of situations where the only stock left is in a mixed case and it’s not really available. Thank you!!
