Could you look in to adding sequence numbers to the racking labels?
So for example, if we printed out 250 labels for racking, in the bottom corner it would say ‘1 of 250’ and so on. This would be great for traceability if there were a number of ullage returns as you could see where in the racking run they were, if ‘1 of 250’ was the first cask to be filled and ‘250 of 250’ the last.

As part of our SALSA accreditation it is required that we can identify where beer has gone in case we have to do a product recall. It really is important that we have this facility
Do we need sequence numbers for that? I think this kind of thing is covered by

It would be useful to help pinpoint a timeframe during a rack to help ascertain any cause and mitigate future risk.
I’ve noticed labels essentially print from a generated PDF as individual pages. Is it possible to include a page number to achieve this feature?
As well as needing to know how many casks off a certain batch have gone to each different customer, we need to know where in the racking run each cask has come from. That way if we have an issue with a run of, say, a dozen casks off a run of 300, we’d be able to see if the affected casks came off the line one after the other or sporadically across the run.
It would be nice at least to have a suitable variable (or two) for a Custom stock label template. We’re almost entirely non-returnable (and very small) so a sequence wouldn’t be any use to us (the NR number is all we need). But I totally get why this would be useful to some.
Just a thought: When we scan permanent labels, does the racking detail preserve the order they were scanned?

If you’re using the default stock label template, then you can enable the sequence number to be shown at Settings → Label & printing settings → Display the label number on stock labels (e.g. “1 of 10”).
If you’re using custom stock label templates, then you can use the two new variables:
label.sequence_numberlabel.sequence_total

Yes, at the moment, but I’d be cautious of relying on this as this isn’t a feature as such; it’s more of a byproduct of how it works today, and it is not guaranteed to work like this always in the future.
