Prioritising delivery areas for customers that fall in multiple areas

We would need a feature to set a priority/hierarchy on our delivery areas so that if a customer were in conflicting areas, I could tell to either prioritise one over the other or set them as the same priority, in which case we continue as today and choose the earliest date.

Currently in the delivery rules we check if a customer is in a certain area. If yes, the next step can only be another check, or schedule. But if the customer is in multiple areas Breww does not prioritise and, in cases, uses the wrong/other area as the one just used in the logic.

Team: Connor know/understands this well.

At the moment, Breww picks the delivery area that you’re visiting next.

It should be possible to implement what you’re asking for, but it would probably need to come with an option to choose if you’d like to use the existing prioritisation process (visiting next) or your own manual prioritisation.

If anyone else would like to see this, please give this thread a vote :+1:

To elaborate a bit further, this is what happens with our delivery:

We have an area that has two delivery routes weekly. Delivery within this area has to tariffs, depending on the order. Within this area, there is a city that has a “free” delivery route every 4 weeks. So we would like each customer in that area to default to the free route, unless they/we set it otherwise (which incurs cost for the customer).

This helps us to give small customers in that city a low barrier for ordering with us, even if it’s just one or two boxes.
