I think it would be great to have par levels that can be set for individual products, so when an upcoming batch is ready the minimum racking required to reach par level is automatically generated or suggested.
Simultaneously this would allow greater insight to racking teams about the minimum required products to be racked from any batch.
I currently have a Excel spread sheet to which I export data from BREWW and input current stock levels, and average weekly sales (over a 4 week rolling period), it then works out how many firkins and pins I should rack of a beer so that they should ‘sell out’ on the same date, and suggests a date I should next brew that beer, with a ‘buffer period’ that I can alter, to keep on top of all stock levels.
Appreciate this is taking your suggestion to the next level, but a boy can dream can’t he??? haha …
You’ve got my vote anyway to get the ball rolling!
I’m just linking this with Automatically suggest/plan what to brew, what to package and when to do it based on forecasted available stock as there is likely some overlap on implementation here.
