Technically, no level of fuzziness would realistically solve irra matching Irrawaddy, as that’s searching for a prefix as opposed to fuzziness which allows a portion of the characters entered to be incorrect - i.e. irrawady would match Irrawaddy.
In the main search and the trade store search we already handle fuzziness, but we don’t handle prefix searching.
And while Coupler to match Couplers would be solved by prefix matching, this is somewhat by co-incidence and stemming is the real search solution for this. This would also already be solved by the existing fuzziness functionality (it’s only one letter off), so it would be good to understand where @josh-abrams is searching as I don’t think it will be the same places that @gijs-van-wiechen is searching as this shouldn’t be a problem there.
We’ll investigate adding support for prefix searching and stemming in the main “Search for anything in Breww” search and the trade store search. It clearly could be better as there have been a few related feature requests in the past:
