Controlling Email Notifications to Web Customers

Hello, we have our website (squarespace) attached to Breww and stock syncing via a website specific location. Sometimes for whatever reason, we take an order on the website, but there is not enough stock in the web location for Breww to allocate, and the order sits at the stock unallocated stage. Operation wise, the order has already physically shipped as I do have the stock, and the customer has received a shipping notification, when they receive that order, to them the transaction is complete.

When I spot that Breww has not auto dispatched the order, I move stock over from the brewery to the web location, I can then allocate the stock and complete. At this point, my customer then receives another notification that the order has shipped. Now this is confusing as it could be a week before I spot an order that has not completed in Breww, so when I complete and the customer receives a notification, they email me confused as they think they are getting a second order.

Aside from ensuring the stock is always 100% accurate which I do try but sometimes get wrong, is there a setting in Breww that will turn off this email notification to the customer by default. Breww never needs to email my website customers as my website is already doing that. I have checked in the customer account and I have email notifications off as far as I can see.

Cheers

Hi Rich,

Thank you for reaching out to us both here on the community and via the support ticket. I’ve reviewed your account but couldn’t find an example in the email logs where we’re sending these emails.

If you have a specific example you’d like me to investigate, please feel free to reply to the support ticket, and I’d be happy to look further into this for you.
