Hello,
Would it be possible to add the following fields to the ferm. reading options:
ABV (measured)
Colour (EBC)
Haze (EBC)
Also, we measure gravity to five decimal places but currently Breww only allows five digits total - would it be possible to add a sixth?
On a related note, would it be possible to flag vessels that are still in fermentation (and hence needing daily samples) and but then once finished fermentation and crashed, they no longer flag that they need sampling?
I hope that all makes sense - if anyone else has requests for further ferm. reading fields post them below.
Just a progress update on some of these! Colour is now an available option to add to your batch readings form, and Breww will also allow 5 decimal places for specific gravity now.
@thom-yates Apologies for missing your message before, but EBC has been an option since Max’s message in May 2021. You can enable it in Settings → Production settings → Fermentation readings form.
Batch readings have had a big update. Readings are recorded against the vessel they were taken in, and a set of rules decides which readings each vessel needs and how often. You can vary the frequency by vessel type, status, age or day of the week, use a different reading form depending on the vessel, and switch readings off entirely where they aren’t needed. There’s also a new Batch readings tab on the production dashboard showing what’s due, overdue or done for every filled vessel.
We’ve added a dozen new readings too, including ABV, apparent and real extract, residual sugar, free and total SO₂, malic and lactic acid, volatile acidity, YAN, cell viability and total package oxygen, along with units such as Baumé, Oechsle, Lovibond, kPa and ppm. If we still don’t have what you measure, you can now create your own custom readings and choose the unit and precision yourself.
