Current behaviour: When a stock transfer order is despatched, the stock immediately becomes available at the destination site.
The problem: This often doesn’t reflect in real-world operations. When stock leaves one site for another, it doesn’t arrive instantly — there’s a transit period involving transport, goods-in processes, and turnaround time before it’s ready for sale. For any brewery operating across multiple sites with meaningful transit time, this is a significant operational issue and leads to inaccurate stock records, and risks overselling and picking errors.
Requested change: Allow a stock transfer order to be despatched on the day it physically leaves (which is correct for duty declaration purposes), but have the stock only become available at the destination site once the transfer is marked as completed.
Possible solution introducing a setting giving breweries the choice between “available on despatch” and “available on completion” behaviour.
Thank you!
