# Statements - owed balances displaying negative values

Currently, invoice owing values on customer statements display as negative amounts (e.g. -£200), including the running total. This is causing confusion for our customers, who are unsure whether they owe money or are in credit.

Statements are being sent for the purpose of customer’s accounts payable, in standard accounting software amounts owing are displayed as positive values, and is the widely accepted norm. We would love to see this corrected to avoid confusing customers.

I will be posting a few other less important ideas on statements separately.
