# Show credit note details on invoice where deducted from total

It is very easy to miss the payments/credit applied section of an invoice. Customers are regularly taking credits twice because there is no detail of what is being applied where the total is actually being adjusted.

Thanks for the suggestion, Barry.

This information is already shown on the invoice, both in the “Less credit notes issued” amount and a summary of which credit notes have been applied is shown in the payment section of the invoice.

Its not that it isnt showing, its that the customers are not examining invoices closely enough to reference what credits are taken, and then double apply credits. If the credit details could be posted where the “less credit notes” is that would eliminate customers needing to do one less thing.

Thanks for clarifying. I must admit that I think it’s clear enough currently, and this is just human error, which will inevitably happen from time to time.

Because of this, we don’t feel changing our default invoice template is the best course of action. You are welcome to [customise your invoice template](https://docs.breww.com/custom-pdf-documents) to change how this is displayed to your customers.
