Good news, this is now live in Breww ![]()
Batch readings have had a big update. Readings are recorded against the vessel they were taken in, and a set of rules decides which readings each vessel needs and how often. You can vary the frequency by vessel type, status, age or day of the week, use a different reading form depending on the vessel, and switch readings off entirely where they aren’t needed. There’s also a new Batch readings tab on the production dashboard showing what’s due, overdue or done for every filled vessel.
We’ve added a dozen new readings too, including ABV, apparent and real extract, residual sugar, free and total SO₂, malic and lactic acid, volatile acidity, YAN, cell viability and total package oxygen, along with units such as Baumé, Oechsle, Lovibond, kPa and ppm. If we still don’t have what you measure, you can now create your own custom readings and choose the unit and precision yourself.
Full details are in the announcement: Batch readings are now per vessel, on the schedule applicable to each one
Thanks for requesting this, and to everyone who voted and commented along the way.
