I have 2 questions:
First - how do we convert the program to use imperial units vice metric?
Second - how do we scale a recipe up or down?

Thanks for the questions and welcome to Breww.

1. At the moment Breww only supports metric units, but we’ve been working on support for US imperial units recently and we’re looking to put this option live imminently. We’ll let you know when this is ready to switch to. In the meantime, please ensure that all volumes are entered in Litres and weights in Kilograms, as when the new option goes live these will be converted to Gallons/Pounds for you.
2. When adding a recipe you enter the recipe batch size (in Litres currently!) and then when creating a batch of beer, you also enter the batch size. If the batch size is different to the recipe’s, Breww will automatically scale the ingredients for you.

We are in need of both US and Metric if at all possible - some of our suppliers sell to us in grams or kilograms, and others in gallons or pounds. We also have some that are using barrels (for buying juice, for example).

Is there any way to just get all of the options rather than being stuck with just Imperial or Metric?

Hi David, thanks for reaching out! Currently, this isn’t possible - however, if this is something you would like to see added to Breww, it would be great if you could raise this as a [feature request](https://community.breww.com/t/posting-ideas-feature-requests-for-breww/22) in the community. Cheers!

Apologies for the confusion; this may be possible already, but it depends on what exactly you are looking for.

It’s possible to use both metric and imperial units, but each stock item will be “locked” to its unit (i.e. if you buy Citra from two suppliers, they must both use the same unit).

You can enable this option on your account at Settings → Production settings

Hopefully, this option will do what you need, but if you need further functionality, please do raise a feature request and we’ll see what we can do.

Hello, would it be possible too specify the “Volume unit to use for all production and recipe volumes” for each site/location?

Hi Noah, Thanks for your message, and welcome to the community! This is currently a system-wide setting and can’t be set per site/location. If this is something you’d like to see added to Breww, it would be great if you could raise it as a [feature request here](https://community.breww.com/t/posting-ideas-feature-requests-for-breww/22). Cheers!
