Reversing an inventory receipt to draft

Hi,

I put in a purchase order, mistakenly including double the amount of yeast that I had actually ordered. This was then inventory receipted and our stock is now incorrect. Whilst I can and have amended our purchase order, I cannot reverse the inventory receipt in order to adjust it. I presume this has been because some of the items have already been used. I then reversed all production events up until this delivery arrived but I am still faced with the following error message:

  • There is not enough “Citra” with batch T9023210 with an expiry date of 31/08/2028 to return this inventory receipt to draft. To revert to draft, the stock originally added will need to be removed again, but it is 37 kg short.
  • There is not enough “Ekuanot” with batch T9023197 with an expiry date of 31/08/2028 to return this inventory receipt to draft. To revert to draft, the stock originally added will need to be removed again, but it is 6 kg short.
  • There is not enough “US-05” with batch AJ24VI0661 with an expiry date of 03/07/2027 to return this inventory receipt to draft. To revert to draft, the stock originally added will need to be removed again, but it is 4 kg short.
  • There is not enough “Safale S04” with batch VI2301062 with an expiry date of 13/08/2026 to return this inventory receipt to draft. To revert to draft, the stock originally added will need to be removed again, but it is 4 kg short.
    Can you offer any advice?

Cheers,
Ben

Hi Ben, Thanks for your comment! It sounds like this will likely be either because stock has already been consumed on beer batches, or stock has been adjusted out of Breww, and therefore, there isn’t sufficient stock to return this to draft. The required stock will need to be available to be able to revert the inventory receipt to draft. If the stock has been mistakenly used/allocated on batches, then it will need to be returned to stock, or alternatively, if the stock has been removed from Breww already, via a stock take for example, then you will be able to make a manual adjustment to the stock line in Breww to create the stock, so there is sufficient stock to reverse this. I hope this helps, and let me know if you need anything else. Cheers!
